Our September lunch features Matt Gosnell, Vice President of Development for AppHarvest, an applied technology company in Appalachia developing and operating some of the world’s largest high-tech indoor farms.
Matt leads project development efforts for AppHarvest, working with regional officials, communities and organizations as the controlled environment agriculture company scales its network of farms with the goal of operating 12 by the end of 2025. AppHarvest went public in February 2020 via a merger with Novus Capital Corp., special purpose acquisition company (SPAC), for $475 million.
Matt will share about AppHarvest’s community partnerships, such as the AgTech Education Program with Eastern Kentucky high schools, its five farms currently under construction, as well as an inside look at the company’s SPAC-led IPO.
